ROPS

The Gravely Pro-Turn 600 has an adjustable Roll-Over Protection System that can be locked in 1 of 3 positions. During operation, the ROPS should be raised to the fully upright position and the seatbelt must be worn in order to hold the operator in the protective zone. In addition, the seat must be locked to the frame or suspension pod so that it cannot flip up if the unit rolls over.

Height of Cut Wheel

The height of cut system on Ariens and Gravely mowers depends on the specific Zero-Turn. For the Gravely Pro-Turn 600, a vertical wheel system is used to lock in the desired height of cut for the mower deck. The operator must push the foot pedal in to raise the deck, unlock the handle, and then rotate the wheel. This is easily accomplished due to the lift assist spring on both sides of the deck.

Drive Control Arm

The drive control arms on the Pro-Turn 600 have four different adjustment points dependent on the needs of the operator. The handles can be moved vertically up and down as well as forward and backward for the height and size of the operator. The black eccentric underneath the handle can also be rotated to raise and lower the position of the handles. The left and right control arm handles can also be removed and swapped to change orientation.

Trailing Arms

Each deck system has trailing arms that holds the deck in a fixed position under the frame. The trailing arms control the forward and reverse movement of the mower deck when the PTO is engaged and when traveling over the lawn. For the Pro-Turn 600, the trailing arms are located behind the deck on the inside of the wheels.

Deck Hangers

The deck lift system uses a four-point level and pitch system with metal hangers. This allows the operator to step on the deck and remain stable. The hangers also allow the deck to be easily adjusted up and down without losing proper pitch.
