Steps 1 - 2

Remove and retain hex flange nuts and hex bolts securing seat assembly to seat plate.
Rotate seat assembly up and tilt back to service position.

Step 3

Reinstall hardware to lock seat assembly in service position.

Step 4

Disconnect seat switch jumper harness from seat switch on bottom of seat.

Step 5

Remove and discard four flange nuts retaining seat to seat plate and remove seat. Discard seat or retain for use without air ride seat kit.

NOTICE: Earlier models are equipped with a short lead on the main harness with a jumper harness that extends to the seat switch. Later models are equipped with a long lead that extends fully to the seat switch.

Step 6

Disconnect seat switch from main wiring harness or jumper harness. Discard jumper harness if equipped.

Step 1

Position four fail-safe compression mounts (item 3) on mower seat plate and retain with eight 5/16" x 3/4" hex bolts (item 4) and eight 5/16" locking center flange nuts (item 5).

Step 2

If required, connect air ride seat harness (item 2) seat switch lead to seat switch on bottom of seat (item 1).

IMPORTANT: Round head square neck bolts must be installed in seat mounting plate before mounting seat.

Steps 3 - 6

Loosely install four 3/8" x 2" round head square neck bolts (item 7) into holes in seat mounting plate (item 6).
Route seat harness through cutout in seat mounting plate or on later models route harness eat switch lead through cutout up to seat switch and connect to seat.
Route seat compressor harness through cutout in seat mounting plate.
Position air suspension seat (item 1) on seat mounting plate and retain with four 5/16" locking center flange nuts (item 5).

IMPORTANT: Holes closest to edge of seat plate MUST be positioned under seat back (facing rear).

Step 7

Connect seat compressor harness on bottom of seat to compressor lead on seat harness (item 2).

Steps 8 - 9

Position air ride seat assembly at seat plate and insert four round head square neck bolts installed earlier through compression mounts.
Retain seat assembly to seat plate with four 2" flat washers (item 8) and four 3/8" locking center flange nuts (item 9).

Step 10

Connect red air ride harness (item 2) to red main harness wire and black air ride harness wire to black main harness wire. Main harness wires are labeled "AIR SEAT".
