Driveshaft and Coupler Sheave
The driveshaft is a major component of the PTO system on the Mammoth 850. It has a splined attachment system on the end that will
allow for connection with the snowhead attachments as well as the brush attachments.
The driveshaft is connected to the right-angle gearbox’s output shaft by a coupler sheave. The coupler sheave will mount
to the driveshaft and gearbox’s output shaft by two square keys and four set screws. These set screws have a torque value
of 26.4 ft.-lbs.
If driveshaft removal is necessary, please see the driveshaft or PTO Assembly replacement procedures for proper
installation of the coupler sheave and/or driveshaft.
