WARNING:

WARNING: AVOID INJURY.

Wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving operator's position.

Steps 1
Stop engine, remove key and wait for all moving parts to stop and for the hot parts to cool.
  1. Move the steering levers to the neutral position.
  2. Reduce throttle to 3/4 fast position.
  3. Push PTO switch down to the off position.
  4. Engage parking brake.
  5. Move throttle control lever to slow position and allow engine to run for 1 minute at slow speed.
  6. Turn key to off position and remove from ignition.
Steps 2
Place the unit in the service position.
  1. Pull access pad upward and then rearward to remove. See Figure 18.
  2. Remove and retain hex bolts securing rear access panel to frame. See Figure 19.
 
Steps 3 - 6
  1. Loosen jam nuts located on the tie rods.
  2. Disengage parking brake.
  3. Push and hold a steering control lever forward and turn control rod until the steering lever makes contact with the front index bar.
  4. Repeat Step 5 on other side.
Steps 7 - 9
  1. Return the steering levers to the neutral position.
  2. If necessary, slightly adjust the control rods so the steering levers are aligned with each other.
  3. Tighten jam nuts.
