Fan Assembly

The fan assembly is mounted directly above the input pulley on the Hydro-Gear Transaxles and is designed to keep the transaxle cool during operation. Each fan has 10 fins, which are critical for proper cooling. If any fins are broken, the fan needs to be replaced.

Fill Plug

Transaxle Bypass Lever

Each transaxle has a transaxle bypass lever, which is easily accessible from the rear of the IKON. When both levers are pulled and set, it will allow the operator to easily freewheel the Zero-Turn.

External Transmission Brake

• The parking brake on the IKON is a cog style brake compared to a friction style break
• It operates by the teeth on a brake arm mating with the teeth on the external Cog brake disk of the transaxle
• The brake arm is pulled into contact with the disk when the steering control arms are moved outwards, and the brake is release when the steering arms are in the inward operating position.
