Battery

Place the unit in service position.

• Park unit on a flat, level surface.
• Engage parking brake by pushing both handles out.
• Stop engine, remove key and wait for moving parts to stop and for hot parts to cool.
• Chock wheels. Strap and clamp unit onto lift, if used.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Remove the battery cover from the positive battery terminal.

Disconnect the positive cable from the battery.

Remove the bolt securing the corner hold-down bracket.

Slide the battery to the left and remove both hold-down brackets.

Remove the battery.

Clean the battery.

• Clean terminals and battery cable ends with a wire brush.
• Coat terminals with dielectric grease or petroleum jelly.

Install the new battery and secure with the hold-down brackets.

Reconnect the positive battery cable.

Replace the battery cover over the positive battery terminal.

Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Return seat to operating position.
